Overall, my stay at Golden Tulip Hotel De' Medici was quite pleasant but not without some downsides. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, especially with festive decorations, and the location by the canal is perfect for exploring Bruges. However, I found the room to be a bit basic and faced some issues with cleanliness. The breakfast was good with plenty of options, but it could definitely be improved.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and had a lovely view of the garden, but there were some cleanliness issues that I noticed. The bed could have been softer for my taste, and several facilities were outdated or not functional.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly helpful, accommodating my requests and assisting with any concerns I had, which made my experience more enjoyable.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from the main square and right by the canal, making it easy to explore the beautiful city.
Dining

The breakfast offered a diverse selection of hot and cold items, but the quality could have been better. It felt a bit understaffed during peak times.
Facilities

While I didn't make use of the spa facilities, I appreciated the overall layout and available amenities. However, I wonder if the hotel could invest more in maintaining the common areas.

5.0/10

I just returned from a trip to Bruges and stayed at the Golden Tulip Hotel De' Medici. The location was fantastic, right by the canals, and I appreciated how easy it was to explore the city. However, the hotel itself had some disappointing aspects, especially regarding service and dining options. While my room was clean and comfortable, I found the overall ambiance to be somewhat dull with a few issues that made my stay less amazing than I had hoped.

Rooms
6.0
I appreciated the cleanliness of my room, and although it was spacious, I found it a bit outdated. Some features felt neglected, like the lighting and limited electrical outlets, but it was still comfortable enough for my needs.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired. I encountered some unfriendly attitudes from staff which cast a shadow on my overall experience. Additionally, I faced some minor inconveniences, like delays in breakfast service.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is quite a gem. it's peaceful yet close to all the main attractions, making it a great spot for exploring Bruges without the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a mixed bag. I found the selection to be limited, with some items not at their best. It definitely didn't meet my expectations for a four-star experience, as the food was often cold and lacked freshness.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some decent facilities like room service and maintained cleanliness throughout. However, some basic amenities were missing, which detracted from the overall impression.

I had a generally pleasant stay at Golden Tulip Hotel De' Medici. The location was convenient for exploring Bruges, just a short walk from the city center. My room was spacious and clean, although not overly stylish. However, there were some issues with the breakfast, such as lukewarm cooked items and a rather uninspiring breakfast room. Overall, it was a relaxing experience but with room for improvement. 😊

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and an uncarpeted floor that felt fresh. However, I'd have appreciated better amenities, like a soap dish in the bathroom.
Service
7.0
The reception staff were friendly and quite helpful, especially when assisting with a ticket issue for Eurostar. Nonetheless, there was a noticeable lack of follow-up regarding complaints.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated on a lovely, quiet cobbled street that overlooks a canal, making it easy to explore the nearby attractions. I found it close enough to the central market square without being in the hustle.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a good variety of options available, though I found the cooked dishes lukewarm at best. The breakfast room could use a more uplifting atmosphere.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered effective room services, and I appreciated the cleanliness throughout. However, I wish there were more recreational facilities available.

I had a decent stay at the Golden Tulip Hotel De' Medici, but it wasn’t without its drawbacks. The location was perfect for exploring Bruges, really close to the main sights and tucked away in a quieter area. However, I found some aspects like the breakfast and room quality disappointing. Overall, it wasn’t completely awful, but I expected a bit more for the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room I got felt a bit outdated and didn’t match the pictures I had seen. Plus, there were issues with broken fixtures that made my stay less comfortable than I had hoped.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly for the most part, but there were some moments of rudeness that stuck out, especially from one barman who seemed impatient. It really detracted from the experience.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a fantastic spot, close to the canal and just a short walk from the city center. It made getting around super easy, and I appreciated the peaceful vibe at night.
Dining
5.0
I have to say, the breakfast didn’t live up to my expectations. The coffee was pretty meh, and some of the offerings felt cheap and lackluster, which was a letdown.
Facilities
6.0
The overall facilities were nice enough, with decent room service and some appealing communal areas. However, I think they could up the game a little in terms of decor and cleanliness in certain spots.

My recent stay at the Golden Tulip Hotel De' Medici was overall positive, with its charming location near the canal being a highlight. While some aspects of the hotel appeared dated and could use renovation, the cleanliness and friendly staff made up for those shortcomings. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options, although the spa facilities left something to be desired in terms of temperature management.

Rooms
7.0
My room was large, airy, and clean, although it did feel a bit dated. Despite this, the shower was amazing, with great pressure.
Service
8.0
The staff were welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile, which made my stay more enjoyable.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal, just a short walk from the city center along the picturesque canal, making it easy to explore Bruges.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was extensive with lots of hot and cold choices. I appreciated the vegetarian options, though there could have been more variety for hot dishes.
Facilities
6.0
The spa was decent but could use improvement, especially with the Jacuzzi's temperature. The availability of parking was convenient but came at a high cost.
